Sound Absorption products are mainly made from acoustic foam, acoustic polyester or rockwool. Each with a variety of facings depending on the application. Thicknesses can range between 6mm up to 100mm, with the most common being 12mm, 25mm and 50mm.
Acoustic Foams are treated to maximise noise absorption and reduce hydrolysis (foam rot) under hot, humid and acidic conditions. Available in a range of different protective faces, there application are;

- Engine compartments and firewalls of cars, boats, trucks, buses and construction machinery

Perforated Vinyl facing is used within cabs of heavy machinery. This strong vinyl facing comes in Black and Beige.
The Plastic film is used within acoustic enclosures and bonnet linings on cars and 4WD’s and is available in Black.
Re-enforced Aluminium Foil is a fire rated facing for acoustic foam with a high heat tolerance and is used in enclosures and on the firewalls of heavy machinery and automobiles.
Textile finishes are available in a wide variety of colours and patterns. These are mainly used in interior commercial and residential residences.
When polyster is manufactured to specific densities it offers a flexible acoustic solution for home and office interiors. It is manufactured using a percentage recycled polyester fibre and is safe, non-toxic, non-irritant and non-allergenic.

When dealing with higher temperatures, Rockwool is the preferred substrate used in harsh environments. With a melt point of 1000 degrees, Rockwool can be used as a thermal and acoustic treatment for generator enclosures and exhaust wrapping.
